| My 20yr old son left for the Navy on Tuesday. I miss him so much. I know that joining the military was a good move for him. He tried college, that wasn't for him. In the area that we live jobs are pretty scarce. He says that he is going to make a career out of it, hopefully he still feels that way once he is finished with basic training.

| Just returned from a 7 day cruise to the Bahamas. No husband, no kids. It was great! It was my first time going on a cruise. I would definitely do it again! I never knew that Rest & Relaxation could feel so good! What do you do to treat yourself to a little R & R?

| Summer vacation is quickly approaching. School will be out in just a few days. I know I will hear the words "I'm bored" more times than I would care to count. It has become a challenge to keep my son occupied during his summer vacation. It used to be great when he did not mind going to summer school, now he would rather skip spending any extra time at school. He will be participating in a few camps throughout the summer. Hopefully, that will help his summer vacation go by faster.

| In the news this week we saw a teacher just completely lose it and beat a student like she was beating an adult. The reason she gave was that the student has been bothering another student. Was it right for her to beat the student? I say no, but their are some that feel that it was the right thing for her to do. In the school system there is a lot of bullying that goes on, usually the victim is a child that cannot or is afraid to defend themselves. I feel that the administration of the schools should be the ones to handle it. Now that this teacher has hit a student, she will no longer be able to work with children again, her career is over.It is not work it. If you do not have patience to put up with behavior problems and attitude from kids, some as young as kindergarten, don't become a teacher. These kids today will try your last nerve. Do you think the teacher was justified in what she did? How would you feel if that was your kid, or sibling that she beat?

| My sons can't seem to obey the speed limit. After my now 20 year old has had to pay over $300 in speeding tickets, and have his license suspended for 30 days, I would think that his brother would not travel down the same path. A week ago, my 21 year old came home with a speeding ticket for $160. Two days after he paid the fine, he was stopped for speeding again. This time he was fined for $90. He says he is not going to pay this one, he is going to take it traffic court. According to him, he was traveling behind another car was speeding. The State Trooper stopped the wrong car, so he says. His dad and I have been telling him to slow down, but what do we know. Have you ever been stopped for speeding? Did you pay the fine or did you go to traffic court?
